ANZ Non-Executive Director To Retire After Serving A Decade

Australia and New Zealand Banking Group’s non- executive director, Ian Macfarland, will retire at the end of 2016 after serving 10 years in the position.

Macfarland first joined the board in Febuary 2007 and has retired at the conclusion of the 2016 general meeting.

“Ian has given significant service to and we thank him for his contribution,” said David Gonski, chairman of the board.

In recent news, ANZ recently hired Colin Neave as its customer fairness advisor in an effort to improve fairness of the bank’s products and services for retail, small business and wealth customers in Australia.

Earlier this week, the bank was slapped with a $6.8 million fine for attempted cartel conduct.
